I made my first-ever podcast appearance on Literary Atlanta, hosted by the fabulous Alison Law. I don’t think I sounded as much like a bumbling idiot as I feared I might, which I give Alison full credit for–she asked the right questions, and she’s got great pod-voice. Alison recently featured Laura Lee Smith, author of the recently released The Ice House, who I got to be in conversation with last night at Avid Bookshop. Laura Lee was super gracious, especially considering her book tour’s been a slightly derailed due to freak Southern snow storms, and the book is so smart, honest, and sneakily funny.
